Hey guys! I have a number of awesome pieces of content to share with all of you, completely free!

I recently made a bunch of models to use in my latest game, and I thought I'd give them away so you guys could enjoy them too. I would have sold them in the store, but the requirements for selling models were so strict that I gave up... so here we are XD

Ok, so the first pack is a haunted cemetery pack. It includes a number of components, done using hand drawn textures with fairly low-poly models.

It includes:
--a cemetery fence set
--zombie hands set
--graveyard rocks set
--graveyard trees set
--demonic trees set
--gravestones set
--pumpkins and jack'o'lanterns set
--tangled vine bushes set
--human bones and skulls set
--crypt candles set
--pumpkins hanging on vines set (not pictured)
--Misc Goodies (wooden bridge, spider webs)(not pictured)

Images below:

Attached are the zipped folders. Simply unzip them into your entitybank user folder, and you'll be good to go
Btw, they are zipped using 7zip, a much more powerful (and free) compression technique. You'll need 7zip to unzip them. Google is your friend here.

Enjoy the free stuff!

I can definitely imagine those kinda bobbing along chasing the player while they kinda animate / morph like squishy balls... Very cool :p
I do agree the overall style is very nice, spooky but fun... Hope to see more

Is it because you can't sell the models because you're not the actual artist who made them, and they are actually a $40 paid pack that are royalty free to the person who buys it and under the license your not allowed distributing them separate from a game project and the fact that these models are over 3 years old and were not made recently?

Edit:

JLMoondog: Could you post the link that you believe this is from? Thanks.

This game has been is WIP since June 2015.

But it very much looks like this stuff here:
https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-models/architectural-exterior/sci-fi-fantasy/low-poly-cemetery-halloween-set
And if the OP is not the original artist, then this does indeed violate the license from this site.

Quote: "I used almost entirely original models for the level design, made by a friend who hand-painted the textures.

I recently made a bunch of models to use in my latest game,"

I think maybe it is time to start up an approval process for free media released by new users before a download link can be posted, how many may have downloaded items like this, dropped them into their games only to find if they try to release it they are in trouble with licensing? A lot of folks may just say thanks and never visit the thread again so won't have a clue.

I reckon if someone shows a WIP thread of free media they make first then we all get an idea they are actually creating this stuff or if the user has a background in modeling then we wont be seeing so many of these decent quality models suddenly appearing from nowhere. I am always unsure of good quality media which appears out of thin air and there seems to be a lot of it lately.

edit* I also notice the download links are still in the first post...I am all for the benefit of the doubt but till the OP either proves they made the models or provides written permission to distribute for free then they need to be removed. It is touch and go when someone says their friend made then then says they made them and they are on sale at $35 all at the same time.

In my experience an Artist will release free media to promote their work for sale or to introduce users to their work and will provide a background via links or posts to this effect, every single one of the locked threads where media was found to be iffy simply had an image and a download link. It isn't rocket science to separate who did what.

Links removed until ownership is provided.

To all that down loaded these, Please hold off on using these for a commercial game till this is squared away.

Thanks

All of it is there. If you click the artist, you can see the zombie hand models too.

So just a word of warning for all who want to post media for distribution. Please make sure that you are allowed to do this before posting.

Good rule of thumb is, if you did not make it, chances are you don't have permission to distribute it.

This is an unforgivable offense listed in the AUP. This also comes with a permanent ban and restricts you from the store also.

Best to ask first, then post first.

Thank you.
