As the title states is there a way to attach a decal to a character? This would open up some great ideas a balrog with flame etc. A great addition to gg if you ask me. Not sure if possible u know you can get flame from a dragon but a permanent animated decal say from a robot. You know a spark or electricity animating. Etc. Any ideas be welcome any actual scripts would be most welcome. It would open up a new dimension of extra atmosphere to characters.
an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

this would be best left until Lee adds a real command as getting the angle and the placement exactly right and making sure it updates smoothly is quite a task.

but it's also more likely that what you really want is an animated texture, i saw a video from fpsc that (i think) myke had working in GG that did it.

Let me think about this. Don't recall doing much scripting in reloaded.

Smallg, if you could be so kind as to point me to that thread, Then I will check my media, scripts, and map around that date, as I throw nothing away, and see if I can find it.

Thanks

Wondering if we could use the sprite commands for this. There is a lot of freedom from them. the radar script can track AI, so maybe we can track the players position and then have the sprite follow that position a foot and a half in front of the player.

Probably would work better for third person view, as the accuracy would be less needed, then from the weapons HUD for the arms.

The advantage of the weapons HUD would be the use of the FIRESPOT bone, which we could attach things to.
Would this flame or whatever is used need to be fired like the wizards fireball, of just swirl around the player.

Let me look thru one of ErrantAI's gunspecs and see what new goodies are in them.

Let me think on this, as I am dog tired from working today.
