I don't have this problem but I have not updated my drivers. Should I update and see if I get this problem? Just for kicks?

EDIT: I currently have 359.06 and don't currently have any issues thanks to the other thread from HarryWever back in December that forewarned of the update. I will update it on my desktop and see what happens.

You can try it if you like. That is if you dont mind taking the time to have to load the previous one if it does not work.

But any information we can get on the cards that have issue and the ones that dont, could shed some light on the issue.

Win10 64bit with Geforce GTX 980m

I tested a little bit. I'm only getting a black ground when every other "person" in this level is killed (not just oponents, even a static Wizard) and I climbed above anything. Killing all and still running on the ground cdhanged nothing.

Nvidia Geforce 870M - Windows 10. I know it's just the graphics driver, I downloaded the beta version and I thought that was the reason, so I reverted back to the original OEM release. No luck.

It seems that most or even all in this thread seem to be W10 related .... Rolling back is easy ....
go to "Device manager" .... select " Display Adapter " Hit the Driver tab ...select "Roll Back Driver "
Give it a minute or so as you don't actually see much on screen and your done..

It doesn't take as long as installing a new one ...

Ya, that's could be a good point, if there not other settings than taken damage because the malfunction driver.

I've experienced issues in win10, lossing audio suddenly, I had to apply the system you are referring to, plus restart pc, in order to recover audio. It looks like microsoft developers are working on it.

this so funny to me. I have post an issue about this before and yet seems no one has read that post. it is very simple and not rock science. the problem is not windows 10 it is just Nvidia driver. I had the same issue with fpsc with a level I made that was getting 60fps but started dipping down when I updated my Nvidia driver. when Nvidia make an update most likely fix bugs for update games that is their main focus, not software. they most likely test for bugs in the games that are new if you read the bug reports. you should only update if you are a hard core gamer and plan to play most recent game on your PC. I have a old 2014 driver that I roll back to long go finding this out for myself and never updates since and have no problems with guru or fpsc. I use windows 7 and drivers like this could also effect your web browser as well. I had such an issue with my browser freezing up and for the life of me could not understand what went wrong, until I roll back my driver then everything work find. so hopefully this will help now that everyone attention is on this issue. do not update unless you really have to and read the bug reports fixes on Nvidia site. if you have down download a new AAA game that the bug report said it fix then it is worth the download but you are always at risk for other software to react buggy to a new driver. I don't have any new games so it is no need for me to update. also this is the reason why driver update are optional and allow you to rollback. because they beta test games on them. so those who are not having this issue if it's not broke don't fix it.

Yes we all know its the driver .... But at the moment someone using Windows 7 or 8 and has the 361.75 does not appear to be affected ...
But those using this driver and windows 10 do ....
But we are trying to find out if its a series of Nvidia cards effected ...
Rolling back the drivers has been a temporary measure since before Xmas ... Its old news ..

Quote: "you should only update if you are a hard core gamer "

Not True ...Many have games that in a minute wont run with the older driver ( Battlefront ) for example ...
If you don't have the latest driver it informs you and will not work until you install the driver they recommend .... when this happens to users and they have to upgrade then things will get awkward ..
But if Lee can fix it in the product all the better

Ahh I did think someone with a Windows 7 reported it before but couldn't find it ... I Ended up assuming I just dreamt it
Well the latest news is Lee has found out what is causing it and thinks he can rectify it in the product end which is great !!

Ok to make this clear ....This is not my discovery !!

I picked this one up from steam but it seems to work ..
Add 3 Light entities to your map ...anywhere ... No more black flicker..
This is not a fix .....Just a temporary measure so you don't have to roll back till lee fixes it

Yep, definitely fixed this one. Will be part of the V1.12 update out in a few weeks. For now, you can add three dynamic lights to calm down the test game

Hey guys It's happening to me as well...not in the regular editor mode but in the test mode and in the character editor. between flickers and really dark textures it makes testing levels near impossible.

Fixed for the update ....for the moment you can either roll your drivers back or just add 3 lights anywhere on the map ...

Just 3 lights anywhere on the map beside each other ...
Top corner for example if you want them right out of the way ...
