i'm not very good at things like that, but could you give us some more information on what you need; size, format, what you need written on it, do you want just a text logo or an image, do you have any design in mind?

If you want something quick and easy, and just want a text logo you could use one of the many online logo generators like cooltext to do something like this:

I used to do ANSI logos way back in the day (late 90's) as part of a professional BBS art group.. There's a lot more I'd need to know to make a logo for you:

1) What colors are outright unacceptable?
2) What colors are 'must haves'
3) What do you want people to 'feel' when they see your logo?
4) Text only, or Text plus a picture?
5) You say Sci-Fi but are there particular elements of sci-fi you like? What are some of your favorite movies, games, themes, etc?

Well I do not know exactly what you want, so I just went with a scifi theme in general. Not the best but still pretty good if I say so myself.

The version with a transparent background is attached.
