If so is it likely to be significant?
Ps
The last update is simply wonderful.

The DirectX11 update will improve both performance and quality, but it will mostly be about the quality improvements.

From what I understand it's supposed to be really good in all respects but what about the models, If they not-so quality? are the models today (in the store) can be more quality because of the engine? and when this update is expected to come?

Personally I am really looking forward to it, for years with TGC products we've been using DX9, it will change everything in a good and amazing way for modelers in particular. Assets will change accordingly and huge improvements in graphics.
it really will be a 'game changer' as Emrys states. Bringing GameGuru into a different league which will compare with the best engines out there.

agreed with the other guys here, dx11 opens up many avenues, many tricks for fps savings and better optimisations and effects. i am and was always for x11 and baffled why remained with x9, i put it down to x10 lessons, i think it will spice the entire software completely, and it should of been their first choice from day 1. which would of meant we would be x11 already now and be onto something else, alas things have to develop organically. main thing is they should be starting it now instead of being on the boards, there are 2 of them so one could do honours the other do boards. only 11th december ages till xmas. as in get the base set for january, there are weeks to go before the new year, hanging around the boards is not productive, laying down foundations and getting it started is a good move. makes for less grumpy people and sooner the steamies stop whining and bringing the software down .it cant come soon enough if you ask me.
an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

I'm not sure if that was intended to be funny or not, but in case you are serious, have you noticed the time of day that Lee hangs around the boards? I'm in the western US, and he's posting after I've had a few pints! (After, sometimes WELL after, midnight GMT) I have often wondered if the man sleeps.

Yes, I know where he is. That was my point! I am GMT - 7, and he most often seems to post after midnight, GMT. As late as 5:00 am, or early, depending on whether he's slept or not.
