Hi everyone!
If anyone remembers Shenmue, they will know how cool the arcades were in it. This is my attempt to do a similar thing in GG!

Lol, a game within a game...nice! You should script it for credits sent to your paypal account every time someone drops a bitcoin into the slot to play a machine.

Thanks everyone! I use lua's execute command to run these games. Getting the emulators to work is a bit more difficult, as you have to rely on the options the emulator gives you. I gave the NES and C64 emulators up as a bad job. I got the C64 to work, but testing was an issue, as the games loaded in real-time as on the 64, not fast. Once loaded, there seemed no way to get the joypad working, so 20-30 mins or so it seemed, just to see a ninja standing on a path

@ syncromesh. Hopefully the above description will give you some ideas. The code needed is like this "os.execute[["Asteroids.exe"]]" for example.
@Rolfy. If only...
@Mookai. Now although you can't run GG on your Amiga, you can run your Amiga on GG!

when you use that "os.execute" you could start an external exe... hmmm ..
hmm ok, a few years ago, I've developed a nice litte tool with MMF (multimedia fusion).
something like a 1 click boot menu for winuae. it was an exe file... one click on it... and Giana Sisters (or any other game) was loading, with all settings (WinUAE) incl gamepad support.
I've abandoned this project, because after all the years, it was not easy to find all the copyright owners from the games...
And then later there was the Amiga Classic compilation available everywhere, so I gave up my little project.

ah, anyway... this is great, what you have created here!
Nice idea, to dev. a zombie game, and if you need a break, you go to the next arcade in your game and play... pong.
or Monkey Island.

!!!

how useful it would be now to have videotextures...
than the TV in front of your Amiga would become alive... with a video of Giana Sisters on it...
Ah, I requested that feature a long time ago...

@DVader

Have you tried Vice 64 and running Carts ?
Instant loading and maybe the controls configure differently ?

Awesome! I was hoping to eventually do something like this when the oculus rift support comes back/is released. My own arcade without the extra real estate. I could also get rid of my several years in progress MAME cabinet. Great job!

@Mookai. I use Winuae's conifgurations. The best emulator I found for this. Fusion is okay, but no way to configure the screen to expand to a full screen window. yes having them on a small screen would be very good, although I doubt we will be able to do this in GG any time soon...
@ synchromesh. Not tried that one as far as I am aware. Will have a look for it. I was amazed with the emulator I got working that it took so long to load! Joystick options were useless in that one though.
@Jeyy Tremble. Thanks! I have wanted to do it since I first played Hang On in Shenmue Although only recently did I actually think to use an emulator (saves me trying to write loads of games just to show this off).

Of course, it was full screen, the fusion app called winuae with the config file.
Winuae was not visible at all. Only my menu, where u selected to play with keyboard or game pad.

Hmmm... Now I want to play the old games again.... Katakis, Wings, Wings of Fury, super cars....

Full screen at the moment crashes GG, so a maximised was the best I could do here. Looks pretty good I think. The fuse emulation was not so good, as no way to configure the window size.
