Well done on reclassifying GameGuru as software rather than a game on Steam. I mean, it was a little annoying when Steam kept telling me I 'played' GameGuru 4 hours ago when, in truth, I was working very hard developing a game to be ready for Xmas. Don't get me wrong - GameGamu makes the process of creating games a real joy and it's great fun - but it's also a big challenge in a way that playing a game isn't, especially when you're on a deadline!

By the way, I am branching into the movie business and would appreciate any comments on my spoof Bond trailer, here:

Many thanks!
Julian

I don't understand why people had a problem with the category "games".
I don't care, if it's under games or software.
Old school FPS fan, DOOM!!! Why GG not working on my AMIGA 500?

Hopefully this give it more attention, and once DX 11 is in a little more serious as a development tool, rather than a sandbox, but all things said and done, TGC learned a valuable lesson, whether or not it is a bit late has yet to be seen, but nothing wrong with even more PR.

Well, I'm not gonna miss all of those topics like "GameGuru incorrectly in 'Games' tab" on the Steam Community forums, and I bet our mods won't miss having to lock every one of them any more.

I think just for all times sake, I should create a topic and vehemently defend the right for it to be under games

I always use the Desktop icon so it never really mattered to me either .....
However it will make more sense for anyone looking for Game Development software ..

Why does it have to be under 1 clasification. I could be under 'Games / Software / Tool' then everyone would be happy.

GameGuru has been in several categories in the Steam store for a while now ('animation & modelling', 'design and illustration' as well as 'game development'), but it can only be under one category in your library, and I think 'software' is a more appropriate place for it than 'games'.

I have Leadwerks, Axis GameFactory, Mindtex and now GameGuru all in my software steam library after installation so it would appear to be in the correct one all the other Game Development tools use ..

I was confused for a moment...
110 games.... Then 109... Until I saw GG in the software section.
