Here are 2 scripts that will allow the player to NOT collect keys, or if the script is edited, other entities to be collected through walls.

Unzip the _lua_zone folder into your scriptbank folder, and the map into your mapbank folder.

On the testmap if you run around the outside of the walls, you cant get the keys that are on the tables inside next to the walls, with the pickup key script original you could pick up through walls. The trick is to setup a zone INSIDE your room or building and if the player enters it set a variable which the key_get_zone.lua checks to see if it is 1, if so then allows pick up of key, if 0 (Outside of zone) then no pick up.

plrinzone_collector.lua assign to zone.
key_get_zone.lua assign to you key or object. Dynamic.

Simple but very useful. Well I hope so anyway.

Just discovered that the key collection only script only work on 1 zone, if you add same script to another zone it messes up.

Below are the newer versions, as before:

plrinzone_collector.lua assign to zone.
key_get_zone.lua assign to you key or object. Dynamic.

The scripts number are important plrinzone0 and key_get_zone0 must be the same area, and so on up to the 15 i've made for you. If you need more just go into the scripts change the init, main and any instances of the variable insidez to the same number: eg:

if the key_get16_zone_init(e)

then the variable should be changed insidez16

same goes for the other script, hope thats all clear...... all working good here now

Thank you! Excellent stuff (and even for free), especially the survival stuff. Just what I was looking for

I was also wondering, how can change the speed at which the meters go up? I´m a noob at programming, but I figure that lowering the number in the .lua script at "increment = .00050" to "increment = .00010" wont be enough? I should maybe do it somewhere else to?

try maybe increment = 000050 and extra 0 in there, this might need to be changed in other scripts also.

Thank you for your input Tarkus! I managed to slow down the speed of the meter, but, I´m wondering another thing on the survival scripts. Is it possible to also make the stamina meter go from left to right, as does the hunger/thirst? (btw, I lost a nights sleep playing with your scripts!)

Sorry for the delay been on holiday, @TheWise - did you manage to get the meter going the other way as yet, if not I will look into it, as the screen co-ords do tie in with other scripts in that set.

Below in the attachment is a small set of SFX for anyone to use, there is a short theme and several different SFX notes to scatter in some soundzones around your levels. These were created on my new Novation ultranova that I've just got hold hold of.

In the key of C minor, and the theme's tempo is a slow 80bpm. Enjoy.

Simply unzip and copy the haunted house folder and its contents into your audiobank folder of GameGuru.

** Just added 3 more SFX for FREE here, arctic, huge generator and alien conversation. 128kb .ogg format. Just copy these to your audiobank folder. **

I saw that you had requested a Gas Mask for the script that you have created. Because you have given so much to the community, I decided to quickly whip something up for you to give away. It's not perfect, but, will hopefully suffice for now.

Oh, it needs an FPE file. I am at work and can't create one right now.

Wolverine ... what's missing is the texture. If you open the fpe, you will see that it will look for the texture called: textured = 10168943867107043744_D.dds and that is generated by the EBE. How is it arranged ??? Mmmm ... I still do not know that.

Tarkus congratulations on the badge and thank you for the tunes, I like the atmospheric moody genre and your music is brilliant would buy a CD if you had one, I am keen on Enigma too I don't admit to that much but I think they are very good, the social song was an amazing achievement.
