I thought I would return to some low poly models of high rise buildings to see how the fps has improved over the last few GameGuru releases. it's certainly getting better.

A map of a city needs to be pretty well populated with buildings and the obvious way to achieve this without killing fps is the use of background low poly buildings. At the moment I am working on some that may be used to produce alleyways between one area of a town and another or simply used to produce a background. Rather like the film set they are just an illusion relying on the Director (game author) to set the areas the player will use. Some pictures below to emphasise my point. All the alley building and ground simply click together using Double B.

Edit: Picture 2 shows my fps still sitting at 80.

This scene took me just 2 minutes to put together using low poly models. The house backs simply click together. I do use a high spec machine I admit but even then my fps remained at a very respectable 80.

I will upload a free sample to the Store so those interested can try it out.

Free house back uploaded. Use double B to lock them together.

I thought about doing something similar, making parts of an object that are seen and leaving off parts that are unseen to reduce poly count. Yours is excellent!

Thank you for that Kesstryl. Much appreciated.

I have added a new house to the pack based on a boarded up one.
