I'm finding it quite frustrating to edit in Free Flight Mode whilst inside other entities like caves. Entities jump about all over the place, entities I want to place down are far from the cursor after I've selected them from the Library and trying to select an entity when they are close together is hit & miss. Here's a video showing what I mean.

Hi MD ..

Your trying much to hard .....
Get a good view and hit "TAB " .... this will remove the roof..... " Ctrl and mouse scroll " will raise and lower the level ..
You can then place and manipulate object much easier and you can also lock a segment for even more stability ..

I made a quick video to show you what I mean ....Hope it helps ..

The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Yes, I've experienced that issue, specially when you want place small entities say in a house, at level 2/3.

I hate when start marker/lights following me at everywhere, finally you don't know where they are really placed.

And yes, locking (in my case, house) may help.

Thanks synchromesh, I think I should be locking as I go, and using TAB takes away the pillars (for me anyway). I think the 'entity jumping' was because I had SNAP turned on from aligning the cave system. Not sure if that affects the entities as well.

The entities still appear a long way from the pointer when editing in 1st person though.

*Edit: "...Ctrl and mouse scroll " will raise and lower the level .." Ahh, I get that now. Thanks.

Grrr, still struggling with misplaced entities. @6:25 in my video I'm struggling to duplicate the light marker as it's offset from the pointer. Does anyone know why this is happening?
