Hi
Just built a test level to try out the build stand alone exe.
Now what i have read before is that Game Guru is no way tied to steam
Apart to get the program and updates or if you want multiplayer .
So why then in the folder where the exe is saved are there steam files and if you delete
or rename the steam files the game will not start.
So this must mean Game Guru is tied to steam and if you ever got to build and sell a full game
you would have have to let your buyers know there are files related to steam then if they don`t
want anything to do with steam you lost a sale of your game.

I see what your talking about. and those files have to be there. I will talk to the programmers and see what is up with that.

Thanks for reporting this.

Hi mickeyb

I will try to get more info for you but my first guess is that these files may be required for the reverse of what your thinking ...
They may be needed so " You Can " run the game without steam
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Ok thanks for that
I have done a bit of reading online about the steam api.dll and a lot of post class it as spyware
and DRM if someone wanted protection for there game they would choose it .
