Just messing around with shaders and thought this one may prove useful for that retro side scrolling game (now we almost have the technique)

Looks good. 8 bit though? Looks more 16 bit to me at the very least. Even the PC Engine didn't have that quality graphics!

Interesting stuff!

With 8-bit the maximum number of colours displayed is 256. I believe 1 of those is actually an alpha channel so really its more like 255.

Regardless this is a very interesting looking affect. Reminds me of a higher end arcade game of the early 2000s.
