Is it just me or does any one else believe that we should be able to paint any of the terrain textures that we have into one map? I think a drop down list or something of the sort should be put in place of the 5 arbitrary icons that don't actually represent the texture that you may be painting. Plus I might want more than 5 textures. Maybe I want a snow caped mountain right next to a desert.

And along with that I think that the grasses should be the same way. I Might want more than just one type of green grass. What if I want a patch of dead grass. Or say a certain village was burned down and pillaged. The grass around it should be burned, but not the grass in the entire map.

What do you guys think?

It would be nice, you're not alone by any means!

I saw this once, on a hotel buffet. I thought it looked okay. Odd, but okay. (Just kidding, man!)

lol! (I normally ignore spelling errors, since so many get by spell check, but I just couldn't help myself with that!)

Haha I couldn't eat a whole mountain

As for the suggestion, completely agree, we have loads of nice plant models but trying to place any sort of large number of them makes any game unplayable so much better if we can have multiple grass to simulate the effect and make things more varied

I think that the main issue with GameGuru is that it will always be sacrificing much needed features on the alter of "Easy Games Creation". Ideally, GameGuru really needs a swatch palette when painting textures, allowing more choice than just a handful of textures. Given how the system currently works though, I really can't see this feature ever appearing.

I for one would also like the ability to associate multiple prefabs with a texture. So, my grass texture would place a selection of grass types wherever it appeared, my forest texture would place multiple tree types etc.

I do like the prefab idea, that could help easily make the environment more varied with out having to do a lot of hand work.

I didn't realise this had already been requested, but, that just strengthens my conviction that this will not be something we will be seeing in GameGuru. A pity, since this is a feature that makes for easier game creation.
