yes It will do this, you need to assign a lightflash light far from other lighting.

you can only have 4 lights (dynamic) close to each other, do you have random lightflash also?

Try altering the lights range too, in the properties panel, make it smaller, say 100,200 or 300

I tried to low the circle of the flashing to 100

maybe there is some line I can add to the script to make it only effect on the specific light?

I'm wondering if the flashing isn't working due to range from the lights. Try changing Always Active to ON on your other lights. Let's eliminate the obvious first. Script should be fine, that looks like smallg's script.

btw, next time, would you be kind enough to put the script between "code" tags so we can all read it on the page instead of downloading as an attachment.

Then it will look like this.

If you means:
Quote: "Try changing Always Active to ON on your other lights. Let's eliminate the obvious first. Script should be fine, that looks like smallg's script."

I thinks he is referring to Static mode = no.

Anyway there is something odd I can not understand here.
I place 3 lights (blue, red, green), using the smallg script in a red light only, without any modification.
Run test game, and only red light is flahing as expected. Please see the video bellow.
Edit: sorry for the poor video quality, but it does the trick. Btw if you need some screem shot I can do it for you.

See my ranges in video, and they are closest.

Me neither, I'm sorry. Perhaps checking files cache via steam app. ( gameguru>Properties>local files)

On the range, my bad. Lights don't have "Always Active". I should have checked before saying anything. As 3Com said though you need Static set to NO.

I'll take a look at this today Peri. Just got out of bed here in Australia.

PS: Saw your PM - the answer is you don't use " " around the word code you use square brackets [ ]. (I can't write it because it becomes a tag) - Alternately paste your script, highlight it and click on the Code button above. It will put the tags on for you.

OK. Tested this under multiple scenarios.

Single flashy red with smallg's script and a single white unscripted. Also tried 3 lights out of sync (same script on random), 3 in sync also with seperate "street light" on the same street corner. Can see all 4 lights, and everything works exactly as it should.

If it's not working peri, something else is wrong.

My lights do the same as Peri's

Like Tarkus1971, it has always been this way for me as well.

My system seems to only support 3 lights ON at any one time.

If I place 3 dynamic non-flashing lights on the map they all work.
If I place 4 dynamic non-flashing lights on the map only 3 of them work, the furthest one from the player is OFF.

I can have 1 dynamic flashing light and 2 dynamic non-flashing lights without a problem, and all works good.
But once I place a 3rd dynamic non-flashing light the others start to flash as well. Only 3 lights are on at any given time.

The dynamic non-flashing lights that start to flash have an opposite flash state to the 1 dynamic flashing light.
Ie: if the dynamic flashing light state is ON, then the dynamic non-flashing light state is OFF, and vice versa.
Only 3 lights are ever on at the same time, and the dynamic non-flashing lights that do flash are the ones that are furthest from the players position.

Maybe its related to the graphics card?

I may be old, but at least my memory still ....hmmm

Ok, this is cool, but is there a way to make it more of a flicker than a rhythmic flash?

If you look at smallg's script you'll see a line to uncomment for random flashing.
