My GG is black screen in test game mode after update ? Also when I load one of my maps GG crash's and needs to restart session???

I did try deleting APP Cache......

I just get blur no matter what I change the settings to. Can't light map as it just gets stuck with only 2 entities on the board.

Hi Guys ..

Can you verify your installation through steam..

Go to your steam library and right click on GameGuru...Select "properties" .....then select "local files" and finally "verify integrity of game cache"

See if that brings anything to light and fixes your issue ...
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

It did find missing files, that worked for the light mapper. It did not fix the blur. I have to turn bloom all the way off to stop the blur, I get no control only all blur or none.

set the distances higher on the DOF and MB to set the effected focal point further away., then turn the intensity down on them to 5 or 10. should soften that effect for you.

I solved my visual problem with the bloom slider! 1st I slid it all the way to the right...then to the left! I got all jiggy-with-it and then everything started to light up!

Still guess what?..... My personal project wont load and I keep getting this error code.....

Well, am I the only one who seems to be experiencing seriously increased "A.I. obstacle creation" durations ?
Saw it with Morning mountain stroll.

On the other hand: the obnoxious Middle eastern map now loads its entitiies, still produces a missing media log, but finally hangs in build,
during "A.I. obstacle creation" , so that I need to kill Game Guru via the task manager.

it takes a bit for the AI_Obstacle process to get thru.

You can turn this off in the setup.ini file to build your level, and it will reduce the time it takes that for building.

Turn it back on when your ready to test the AI on it.

Arg! that map coming back to haunt me still.

The waypoint seems disabled. When I click on waypoint mode nothing happens. Anyone else have issues with this?

Edit: Seems like it was my game. I am not sure how to get say a barbarian to move from point A to point B. When i click on the new waypoint it shows a star on the ground and I can move them around but not sure how we get them to link with each other?

Ahhhh no, Myke, won't bother you again with that map, just wanted to let you know that it now loads its entities.
As a matter of fact, I was half-expecting something like this, (thinking that your installation was already advanced, compared to 1.01.001 in userland) ,
but the internal structures of GG are - of course - unbeknown to me, so, I didn't bring it up.

@happymancub: Which mode are you trying to use waypoints in?

@yrkoon: the internal folder structure of GG stay the same, between testing and live builds for the end users.
I am still trying to get to the bottom of that map, to figure if it is just one machine or all that try and open it. I will know more later today on it.

I have tried all the settings(in all slider spots) and blur is either all or none. i tried to snapshot the settings but it only screen shot the effect not the different settings in tab. Each screen shot is with different settings.

Myke, you are pointing me to skipobstaclecreation=1, right ?
(Couldn't identify any of the other defined parameters to be possible candidates for the supposed effect).

If I do that, I run into another "interesting" problem, at least with Morning Mountain Stroll.
Right after the starting point, 5-6 steps into the direction that I 'm supposed to go, there seems to be an impassable invisible barrier
which ist not there (or not active) when skipobstaclecreation=0.

Can't detect anything on the map in Editormode that could cause this behaviour. It also seems that the concrete obstacles behind which the two first soldiers are hiding are not shown and also not there , since the soldiers eventually come running and firing at me. Both of the soldiers are fully visible,too. while they are standing where they usually hide when skipobstaclecreation=0.



I hope wizard of id may join in here, too, maybe, he knows why this happens with his map.

Nevertheless, I return to skipobstaclecreation=0 for good, some things are just the way they are.

@synchromesh!......thank you so much the map is working Great! I owe you a beer mate....So everybody know's my problem with my crash was the Baked Light mapping and synchromesh went completely above and Beyond the call of Duty and fix'd it for me! Cant tell how much I appreciate your help here in the forums.....Your a very intelligent person my friend.

I will play with the skipobstaclecreation=1on misty mountain stroll map and see, what happens.

Hate to ask for more favors but is there by any chance a way to tweak the Jetpacks lua so that it automatically attach's to the player with out being prompted to press "E" ? I am looking at the health lua and trying to figure this out on my own....not having much luck

By the way gang!......Back in my old COD server hosting days I use to run a Ventrilo voice server on one of my old PC's! If you ever want to chat me up send me a PM. I don't mind running this server a couple times a week in the evenings and on the weekends when I'm getting my GURU on! If I know you and trust you and you know how Ventrilo works then I'll send you the info and current password which I will change often! I'm a pretty legit dude and we got common interest so this is for fellow GURU's that want to chill and share Knowledge !

If you don't know what Ventrilo is Google Ventrilo dot com and read up!....here's a pic of my rig I host the server on!
