Hey everybody, hope your day is going well. I wonder if their is a way to have a monster(big one) have his footsteps heard farther away. It would add more realism, like a T-rex would be heard farther away walking than a goblin. Any code snippet help would be great. Thank you.

The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

I hope this becomes in some how integrated in the engine. Perhaps as a LUA command in how sound is emitted. I know some people have discovered a way via LUA scripting.

I did find it kind of odd you'd hear a zombie moan like its right beside you, yet its so far in the distance.

Ok I found this script ...... This should do what you want ..

ah so those volume commands set the volume emitted from that entity only right? This is good to know.

yes thats right teabone, check out the video below, to hear the script in action.

Could you ping Lee with this since it is directly related to what we've been saying recently about 3D sound not working properly in GG and he asserted that it was all good and he believed it worked just fine. This shouldn't have to be scripted. It should be a property of the 3D sound itself so that you can specify volume, min/max range, etc.
