Been harking on this one for some time now, since you guy's are introducing yet another panel for Post effects could you please consider making the menu's drop down?

This shot is from Lee's blog and is the same jam packed menus all over the scene on my laptop and it is very difficult to actually see any changes I make overall in a scene....many,many times I think it is all looking good only to find it only looks good in the areas I was able to see behind all those panels.

I have resorted to brute force methods to remove some of it for myself as seen below, but it is not ideal and with yet another panel I am going to get very, very frustrated.

Thanks, love rolfy.

I employ a keyboard hud on/off. Bring up TAB menus and toggle HUD on/off.

Not ideal but it gives me full screen view without closing the TAB. Worth a thought?

Not sure where you're at so I thought I'd put it here anyway.

Works with h and shift+h (H) . Could be written to be single "h" toggle but you get the idea. Just attach it to a rock or something temporarily.

Thanks, would work to an extent but I like to see changes as I make them when it comes to visuals and pressing 'Tab' removes/shows the panels anyhow. Would work better for me if we could close out unused menu's and show only the panel I am actually using

A simple expand/close menu arrow button would work well enough.

lol did you do that by deleting certain graphical elements of the editor?

Yep. All we really need is a little button on each tab for this. I understand it would take more work on Lee's part for this but this would be the best solution to screen clutter.

Yep

I made the menu's completely transparent on half the graphic, Had to leave half there so I could still read the text otherwise I would have got rid of all of it.

My current is just my workround but I definitely agree a pull out/minimise style would be a far better option.

Certainly add my voice.

Yes, I have to agree on this one, I find myself positioning what I am trying to adjust in the small free space that is left.
I love all the option for control, But drop downs would work better here.

Have also found that some of these panels are movable. making a bit more space to see in.

I really hope this is considered. Less screen clutter the better.

Another possibility is to make the editor with Tabbed windows that are dockable and detachable. The game window could be dragged off to a second monitor even and all editor related items could remain in a separate window. It would still be useful even in that scenario to have a more condensed presentation for these editable world details.

We agree with you all on this one. I'm not sure where it is on the list at present (Lee has been offline due to internet issues), but I know he's planning on taking a tour of the forums soon, so I'm sure he'll call in.

Different colors and it would look like a star trek interface

But yes...I agree. Drop down would be nice...and presets.
