Hello everyone!

Today we publish, after 2 weeks of development, SnowBox V1!
After our Rainbox (V1 to V3) you can include a snow weather management in GameGuru
The small fee? You will have two versions: the snow version of "classic" where snow falls slowly and simply. Then you will have the mode "blizzard" where snow falls aside 3 times faster to give the impression of a snowstorm!

I hope you enjoy this new pack !
The animation mode "blizzard" was copied in part on the same style as the snow in the Unity engine, I did my best for the moment to design a good animation

VIDEO DEMO:

DOWNLOAD: Attached (1,1Mb~)

INSTALLATION:

1 - Unzip "SnowBox_V1.zip"

2 - (entitybank) Place the folder "snowboxV1" in "GameGuru \ Files \ entitybank \"

3 - (effectbank/reloaded) If you do not have animation Shader FX 64 frames put the script "effect_animate64.fx" in "GameGuru \ Files \ effectbank \ reloaded \"

4 - Enjoy!

You can use SnowBoxV1 throughout your no-commercial and commercial games without any restrictions !

Thank you for your future returns !

Hello !

@VRG : Superb do not hesitate to send a picture or video capture to see what gives her a real project

everybody:

I received a message on YouTube and on Rainbox/SnowBox asking if rain and snow followed the player automatically. It is a good idea but it's not the case here ^^
You are forced for the moment to put snow or rain across your entire level (being careful not to put in a building lol).
But the idea of the script can be awesome !!
This would not waste memory or frames / second.

Someone there an idea to create a LUA script that will tell a 3D object in GameGuru (here Rainbox or SnowBox) monitor the player in the game?

Thank you to all and glad you like it

Awesome Devcore35!
Thanks for share it.
Not sure if I want rain/snow following player by eveywere, even inside buildings. Better be able for stop/run rain and snow, where and when you wish; but this is another story.

Great pictures
Remember to put 2 or 3 RainSnow you turn on each other. As this will be more real without seeing copies of the RainSnow
I do not know if you understand me ^^

Thanks, Is it possible to turn off the "snowbox follow playerscript" to enter indoor buildings, I tried it with global statements activated by triggerzones but it is not working yet , I think the use of global statements is the problem.

Just a not so little video of the Snow box being used. 18 minutes.

Thanks Devcore35 and Corno_1

The snow box works great and even better with the follow script.

Just a rough start of what could be. 'My Winter Adventure'

Excellent demonstration video Pirate Mike
However I noticed that the SnowBox is not well placed in the universe because sometimes it is above the player.
For this I will improve soon SnowBox for 3 things :

- Best Animation
- The SnowBox will be placed at the center of the X and Z (to be in the middle of the mouse in the GameGuru editor)
- The SnowBox will also be driven into the ground to half that when you climb a mountain the SnowBox not flying in the sky

: D

SnowBox V 2.0 will arrive soon and solve the problems encountered
The SnowBox V2.0 will operate with the script Corno_1

Thank you.

Yes, I place it in the terrain a bit after running a few test levels on it for mountains. It is not bad at all, my camera distance was 300, so I might have been clipping the edges a bit here and there.

But I have no problems with it at all.

I have still some things to improve SnowBox V2 in preparation :

And here's what it will give in GameGuru (snowbox V2 test: fashion "speed" (blizzard)) :

Sure doubling textures I increased the number of snowflake......
Rest assured I would do several versions of SnowBox V2 : one can with snowflake, the other with a lot of snowflake

And to not be too stupid of me, lol, I would do the same change with our Rainbox V4 soon we will prepare

Much better, right ?

Thanks you all

I solved all the problems but I did not multiply by 2 particles.
The blows that makes ultra realistic effect and I am proud to say that thanks to the LUA scripting Corno_1 "SnowBoxV2" and "RainBoxV4" come out in a few hours today!

For SnowBoxV2 it's just that I focused the 3D object to the player's cursor and I also sunk into the ground the snow like that more worries !!
I also remade a lively texture rendering 64 frames for ultra-realistic (1K to 4K texture total).

Same for "RainBoxV4"; I did the same thing as SnowBoxV2 but in addition I redid all the textures 64 animated frames: the texture is now in Ultra High Definition (4K to 16K total to 220MB for texture) !

The RainBoxV4 takes about 20 to 30 seconds to display in the editor GameGuru but do not worry it is absolutely not reduce FPS

Out of these 2 new improved within a few hours (with video demonstration) !

I hope that these latest changes will appeal you: it will be the last free version designed for GameGuru because we will work on other things ^^

For those who do not visit the forum regularly and I would put the SnowBoxV2 RainBoxV4 also later on the Store GameGuru free to make it accessible to everyone

EDIT : Rectification: Finally the texture will RainBoxV4 2K to 8K total to avoid future incompatibilities with GameGuru if it passes DBP to C ++ in the months / years to come.
