Are there any plans to allow game-guru developers to import their creations into Unity3d?

I'm thinking something along the lines of faster easier development with game-guru, and adding more finishing touches, or features not currently available with game-guru with Unity3d.

Is it possible to create our own custom animations with Game-Guru?

Any plans for future support for realtree with game-guru?

To be honest I would like for game guru to be like unity in a lot of ways but make game development easy the gameguru way but add the features unity has.

I must admit, that when I made my pledge, this is what I thought FPSCR would be.

Why would one engine directly support another engine ? Makes the least amount of business sense ever.Neither UDK, cryengine or unity have official support for a competitor's product , why should GG be any different ?

One thing I'd like to see in GG is the ability to import a heightmap for a terrain made in Unity. I like all the different brushes in Unity, but I love GG's texturing. While I love the shapes I can make in Unity, the texturing looks stretched and distorted and rubbish in Unity. Now if I could import the terrain heightmap from Unity that would be splendid! Either that or some more terrain brushes in GG and throw away Unity all together!

After I finished laughing at this question, and wiped the beer that somehow managed to spew through my nose, I thought about it for moment and asked the same question WOI did:

Then I thought a little further, and concluded there really is no reason you can't put your creations into Unity or any other engine. I stress the word YOUR creations. Many or most of the models here are allowed to be used in other engines. This is TGC's policy, but may or may not be the policy of the individual artists here. If they are your own, however, you can put them anywhere you'd like. If Unity is what you're wanting to use, then GG, when finished, will make a good environment to prototype an idea in. Then you just need to convert and import your assets into Unity, write some code, and you're done!

Regardless of your creations or others creations, none of the other major engines support it.It doesn't make business sense, GG is mend to be a standalone product. Much like UDK or cryengine, or which ever engine you want to mention. TGC will not actively hurt their business model, Plus TGC would need to spend development time and money to get it done.

Actively supporting a competitors product, regardless of your or 3rd party content, as you can't control which content the user is going to use, without some DRM restrictions or whatever in place means. Doesn't make any sense what so ever, considering not even leadwerks has official direct support for other engines.Which begs the question why should GG, is there a practical reason that it would directly benefit TGC, none of the other engines have done it, unity have their own special file format for content that artist can package up content in, UDK save levels in their own file format.

It just doesn't make sense, from a business stand point, it isn't going to benefit TGC's pocket nor it's artists, TGC doesn't want GG to be seen as a support product for another engine.I can tell you now it isn't going to happen.

I was just talking about the content. I never mentioned TGC supporting Unity or any other engine. In fact, I laughed at the question. If a person wishes to put his content in another engine, that's fine, as long as licensing allows. I agreed, in fact, with your take on Macy supporting Gimbels.

That is what the op is asking, not just content, but making cross engine migration as simple as a click of a button

Game-Guru being a complete game engine rather than just a terrain editor, the answer is easily no. Unless Game-Guru at some point allows you to export a created height map.

I can actually see why you asked the question. At first glance Game-Guru's editor does indeed look like a run of the mill terrain editor. But since its not just a terrain editor, it doesn't intend to serve as a tool for other game engines. I have personally used other terrain engines/tools to create height maps for other software. So the question is pretty valid for someone new to GG. But the safest answer would be no.
