High guys, I know this has been dealt with before but I can't find it. I have a house with windows that you can see through and I have put another layer on top of that which is a dust decal. Now when you look through the window, where the dust is you can see through the whole house. I thought it might just be to use the transparency script in the fpe but I am not sure which to use or the correct format for it. Can anyone help.

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

It should be 'transparency = 5' in the fpe.

Oh, I see - that's unusual. What happens if you place the dust decal on its own (ie with no windows placed)?

Here are the rest of the transparency modes.

// Transparency Modes
// 0 - first-phase no alpha
// 1 - first-phase with alpha masking
// 2 and 3 - second-phase which overlaps solid geometry
// 4 - alpha test (only render beyond 0x000000CF alpha values)
// 5 - water line object (seperates depth sort automatically)
// 6 - combination of 3 and 4 (second phase render with alpha blend AND alpha test, used for fading LOD leaves)
// 7 - very early draw phase no alpha

Maybe try 6.

Thanks guys for all your help. Unfortunately non of this worked, it seems that I had put a double layer of transparency on the texture and GG did not like this, once I had sorted that out everything was OK.
