the only one you have that export animated x files is blender. Some tutorials here. https://forum.game-guru.com/thread/208184

C4D will export animated X files, but you need to setup the scene proper and model to real scale.

Maya is a wonderful program, but has not animated xfile export capability at all. Not sure if someone got a plugin going for static x files.

You rig models for this program with straight bones only, no controller or fancy movie stuff for characters. No procedural or morphs are allowed. everything must be UV mapped and have a texture, not just a materiel.
Rig with any bones you want, limit is 63 per object, 3 bone max per vertices.

If it will record a keyframe, you should be able to export it in Xfile format and it should work.

you will need to pick a model program, and rig and animate to how they do it. There are tutorials online about theory of rigging and animations for all model programs. If you stick to what I said above and keep it simple, then you will have no problems getting your workflow down.

I use 3dMax myself and it took me about 6 weeks to learn how to rig and animate basic stuff. It is something you will have to learn to become proficient in.
