I made two games and have so far been unable to send them to my friends.
I always get the cannot send message because Google seems to think they are some kind of security risk.
How can I distribute my games?

Hi Raybrite

you may well have a problem emailing .exe files but zip files should be fine ......
Its unlikely you can mail them anyway because the standalone files are to big.
Dropbox is your best option ... you can upload them there for your friends to download.

Just to add to what synchromesh said, you cannot send a zip with an exe inside using gmail they will scan the zip file and see the exe.

Use something like dropbox or mega

If you rename your file from (Mymap.exe to Mymap.tt ) for instance you can then zip it and Gmail will allow it to be sent....
But it means your friend will have to rename it at the other end ..... However Gmail maximum size is 25 meg so it wont help in this case

Or as I believe syncromesh(?) suggested on another thread, you could put it on a thumb drive and mail it to them or hand it to them. Depending on your location and upload speeds, this may be a much faster route (a win for snail mail!)

EDIT: It just occurred to me that there still yet may be a use for those blank DVDs you probably have laying around somewhere! Even cheaper!

What a good idea, and I was just about to throw out my old DVD stack. Now I will have to keep them for a while longer just in case. The wife is going to love me
