I have an error when i try to light map my scene. Im trying to use static lights, so I cant see anything until its light mapped. But the light mapper crashes after this error happens about 15 or 20 times.

First time I have ever seen that. is this with custom objects, stock objects. Are all objects using .dds or .tga textures?

Im not sure I will have to check. It is all either stock items and or stuff from the game-guru store. Nothing 3rd party or custom on this one.

Nope, this just started a couple of days ago. I have not purchased anything in a while. But then again, I have not light mapped a level in a while. I was just using real time lighting to test the games.

Can you try just setting the weapons you have on that map on a new flat map and set up a few lights as you have them in the map level that gave you there error.

I suspect that it may have something to do with that as, that is where the log stopped when you posted here. the log has a few attempts at Light mapping already but no code as this reported. I see the error call code, in the log, so this might be the clue to which object it is, and I think it is the ammo, so include that also on the test map please.

Thanks

It is not multi player.

As for a flat map with lights and the bsp guns it will not light map. I choose f4 and it starts and quickly runs through the 3 objects but then exits the lightmapper quickly. It never show the grid where it actually loads the lights.

I would say the ammo Caused it crashed. Place the ammo on a new flat map and light map it and see if it crashes. It is one of those, or it is entity 11.

Perhaps I'm missing something here, since I've zero knowledge about multiplayer.
So, I was looking for a guide about how it Works, before say nothing. The only I've found than can help me to clarify my doubt was this Mike's words, in multiplayer fórum (comp):

Quote: "Yes you place two multi player markers and make them both team A"

Quote: "It is not multi player."

So, why you've multiplayer and normal player marker placed in your map? (entity 1 and 8).

Multi player works from a script attached to the cyan start markers. They are for MP use, and more then one can be placed on the map. Setting some to team a and team b will make it team MP. Setting all the markers to either team A or team B will be Coop MP.

The green markers are for Single player maps, and only one can be placed on the map. Placing any more then one will result in the previous green marker being deleted and the new position set.

@3com: I do not have multiplayer and single player start points in the map. I am currently working on multiple games at once. Some of which are multiplayer. But my the problem I am having is only on a single player game.

@Pirate Myke: I will try the ammo and see if it crashes as well. But I am confused as to why this would be the cause seeing as I have zero weapons or ammo in the map currently.
