Game Modes Pack Vol. 1
New single-player mission modes for GameGuru

Been working on a small project this past week with Hockeykid and we're just about finished with it and wanted to give everyone a sneak peek of what we have done so far. After some much needed sleep, I'll be uploading the first two packs to the store later today, and should have the rest of them awaiting approval by no later than the weekend.

Each of these new game modes in addition to their scripts will come bundled with custom HUDS, animated entity markers and voice over to inform the player on their current mission status. A preview of each of these new game mode packs can be found below;

V.O. Sampler:

-

Game Modes:

Capture the Flag

“Retrieve the enemy's flag and bring it back to your base.”

Awaiting Store Approval.

Demolition
“Destroy the enemies' supplies by planting explosive charges at each of the designated target areas around the map.”

Finished!

Extraction
“Locate and rescue the hostage(s) by escorting them to the extraction zone.”

Almost Done! (Video on the way!)

Control Points
“Capture the points designated around the map to take control of the area away from the enemy.”

Almost Done! (Video on the way!)

Cranked
“In this explosive new game mode, the player will find themselves in a race against the clock as they try to find the key that disarms the explosive device strapped around their waist!”

** This game mode will be released FREE **

Almost Done! (Video on the way!)

-

Game Modes Pack Vol. 2 will follow this first series of pack releases, so if anyone has any ideas for additional game modes for single-player that they would like to see if we can pull off, just leave us a comment

Thanks guys.

Sorry for the delay. It's taking longer than expected to get everything ready for the store;

-

Updates:

+ Added Enemy Flag asset to the Capture the Flag Game Mode Pack (see image). This entity has the necessary script attached to it by default and is ready to drop right into a level to become the new objective.

+ Created new video showcasing the Capture the Flag Game Mode with enemy AI, and the new Enemy Flag asset (see video in first post).

+ Capture the Flag Game Mode Pack has been submitted to the store and is waiting approval.

More updates soon.

Thanks guys Sorry for the delay on the update; been busy with another project these last few weeks.

Update:

Scene Commander has informed me (this was a few weeks time ago) there are issues with the current store system at the moment in the way it handles scripts, specifically.

This unfortunately means that until TGC makes changes to said system, the Game Mode Packs are on hold. The packs at this point are finished, but we'll need to wait for TGC to make said changes to the store before moving forward.

Sounds and looks awesome. It gives the player something to actually do other than just kill bad guys randomly. I see you mentioned that these gameplay modes are for single player... is there any chance in the future they will be able to be implemented in multiplayer? Quite a lot of them remind me of classic call of duty multiplayer gameplay.

Whether or not they do become available in multiplayer I'll still buy this from the store, it looks great!

Great work Hockeykid & Kravenwolf
on those game modes and would you mind to show us the videos of the Extraction and Control Point Modes.

And as a suggestion (i wonder why noone came up with it^^ as its so sunshine clear)
Zombie Wave Based Mode (Killing Floor/ COD Zombie Style)- Player and Allys fight zombies in wave rounds
Zombie Infection Mode - Player fights of Infection (with the assistence of Allys or Solo ), rescues Civilians to secure locations to ensure that they dont get infected.

And now i just wonder if we will see a multiplayer version of the Game Modes Pack, it would be a great addition.
