Will GameGuru run the same on Windows 10 without any patches? Will the performance be affected in any way, good/bad?

There won't be any official word on this as Windows 10 is not yet released.

However I am running a dev build of Windows 10 and GG seems to run fine, comparable FPS.

Actually, I think syncromesh or somebody around here already has Win 10 beta and says it runs fine. The more important question: Since Win 10 is going to support 8k monitors, will GG? (I'm just planning for the future, like my winning lottery ticket)

The good thing about windows 10 is that all users of windows 7 and upwards will get a free update to windows 10... the good thing being it will hopefully make development easier as users would all effectively be using the same operating system.

As for 8k monitors.. never even heard of those before! 4k is still entering the scene and slowly as well. There isn't even an industry standard connector that I'm aware of. I think there is nothing wrong with HD. It's basic cost comparisons. A large HD TV is good value compared to a 4K TV. OK the resolution isn't as good but to be honest I can hardly notice the difference. It's nothing like the jump from standard definition to high definition. 4K is for people with too much money in my opinion.

I wouldn't go anywhere near any version of Windows until at least 1 Service Pack has been released myself. Waaaaay too many vulnerabilities otherwise.

Hence my planning to win the lottery first to buy my 8k monitor! I'd never heard of 8k either until I read an article that said Win 10 will support it!

Talking of windows 10 I'll be really excited about the feature to be able to steam xbox one to my pc so I can play games remotely on my laptop.

Somehow sadly I don't think there will be a feature to stream GameGuru from my laptop to my xbox one though. Would love to see GameGuru games on xbox live. Compared to lots of he indie games out there, I'd prefer to play GameGuru games any day! Also it would be nice to take advantage of the better hardware in my xbox one than on my laptop. I might even be able to run GameGuru at full settings
