Hi,

I made a new objet (entity) for Gameguru (an Egyptian collumn).
The original one is a direct.X object.
Using Crazybump software, I created three DDS file (Normal, Specular, Diffuse)

So, I'm happy with my files but how to associate them with my object ?

I tested both, with or without these files associated to my object, there is no difference in GameGuru display (see picture below)

Please help ! Thanks

First, you need to make sure the textures are named correctly - if the diffuse is object_D.dds, then the others need to be object_N.dds and object_S.dds. Then you must make sure the entity shader is set to 'Highest' (hit 'tab'twice during test game to get all the visual options). You may need to play around with the ambient and surface level sliders to the normal map to show.

Make sure you have put the information in the Fpe file as shown below

" textured = My texture_D.dds "

You need to have this in the texture field ..... also you may need to set your entities to High to see the effect when it test mode via the Metrics panel in Shader options ( Tab Tab )

If you use the importer with the correct texture file names (yourtexture_D.dds, yourtexture_N.dds, yourtexture_S.dds) the importer will set up the fpe and add all the textures for you.

YESSS !!!

Many thanks guys !!!

In fact, the fpe file didn't contents my DDS texture but my original PNG texture instead !

The reason of that is because I selected the PNG file as texture in the importer !

My mistake !

Thanks again !

I'm preparing some objects (entity) I'll share with the community.
On the theme of Egypt mainly with monuments, columns, objects of ancient Egypt ...

Hoping that we like to create levels like "SERIOUS SAM"
