Can someone show me how to exactly design my own models in a 3D software (e.g. Maxon Cinema 4D) and actually export the mesh/maps so that it can in turn be imported to GameGuru?

I tried doing that via through Cinema 4D R14 with a simple cube and an image map on it...exported as .X (Direct X) but when I try to import into GameGuru the cube WILL import but the map won't...when I drop the cube onto my design scene I get a black box. If I try to import the map via the red/black checker option...it STILL won't attach...even if it's a PNG 512x512.

I unfortunately am stuck with Windows 8.1 so software like 3D Max, Maya, Maya LT won't work...Blender does work but seems a bit complex. I know that Cinema 4D does not export to .DDS.

If someone could actually do a video of this process it would certainly help a bunch of us.

- Thanks

If you used the importer, try this: open the fpe and change the textured = line to your textures name, model = to your .x model, delete your dbo and bin files, and relaunch GameGuru. Hope that helps!

If your texture is not showing up it may be because it is named incorrectly.

Check out this guide. It is incredibly informative.

Programs such as 3ds Max, Maya etc. work on Windows 8.1, but they are very expensive.
