Please increase the intelligence of the characters. At Present

- The characters do not recognize bridges or steps to cross rivers or holes (you throw in the water or in the holes)

- The characters do not recognize buildings open ..... if the player is inside the building, the characters do not enter ... we turn around and get lost.

- The characters inserted inside buildings behave strangely. They do not see the player and try to get out banging on a wall without stopping (like a fly on a glass)

- If you try to shoot near their position do not always realize it, and when they realize, they turn and look at you in a trance.

So now it's IMPOSSIBLE to create internal levels only. (I can not continue with all my construction kit with this problem)

Please implement as soon as possible the AI characters

Yes, this is true, and is on the list of features to add.

did you try the fpe setting for simple obstacles?
forcesimpleobstacle = 3
it's not a complete solution but should help

oh yes i have the same problem. i was working on my "hate boat" wich is an all inside level and the enemies are acting strange. they don't attack me, they don't move, they don't follow me (inside). they just stand there and waiting for me to shoot them.
in an outside level it was better but still the behaviour was very static.
this is still a big issue for i think GG has made a big leap forwards in every category. it is a thousand times more professional than the FPSC stuff i saw when i found it for the first time.
btw. i think the masked soldier is much smarter than the uzi soldier. and the shotgun soldier just aims at the ceiling.
yes the AI needs to become a little more intelligent(?)

Hi nuncio

Be aware the characters only currently work on "Ground Level "
They will not chase you if you are above ground level at tis time ..... Although they will often still shoot

Perhaps that's whats happening ?
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

what? no... does that mean that every time an enemy stands on a pavement slab he will not chase me? yes, this is what happens in my hateboat map. they shoot at me but they don't move.
can this be fixed in the near future? this would make my entire game become useless then!

i have an outside level where the enemies are coming to me to kill me wich is working better.

i have so many upcoming ideas for inside levels. what can i do?

No a floor is fine ....... but a second level ...... a roof for instance he will just stand still.

Its not an error to be fixed ... Its just the way they work at this moment......
Of course this is being worked on ... They are still in development stages
but for now that's the way they work ..

Let me check.....
It could just be a case of adding forcesimpleobstacle = 3
to the fpe. This is the command that triggers the characters to chase you indoors....
Ensure its included in all your fpe's

Yes the pavements from the TGC City pack all work....
If its a 3rd party pavement from the store you may have to check ..

no it's the pavement from the GG library (slab 400x400)! sorry but where exactly do i have to add this line to make it work in my FPE? looks like this could be the problem.

Its high for the character but adding the command does work ..

I think the slabs were not meant for paths etc
They are just scenery items or for ceilings ...

i did this and i can proudly say that it works. the whole dynamic of my game has totally (!) changed. it became from boring to thriling. thank you very much, that was a big help!

Fantastic glad its working.....

This is why GameGuru should not be underestimated ....
Its very customisable an almost all departments even at this early stage
