Well guys first off i would just like to say "thanks" and farewell it has been a fun and eventful time here and i have met a good few people whom i now
call my friends. I have moved on to another engine and it is nothing against tgc/reloaded as i think it will be a great bit of software when it is finished
but it no longer has my heart.

It isn't going in a direction that i would like (again this is my opinion) and this isn't a rant its simply my reason for leaving one of them is before reloaded
could get off its feet it was outdated and limited for example the limiting it to .x files among other things but the biggest thing for me is performance
i cannot put it any other way its poor i know its still beta but this should have been priority.

Also the stupid baking pushed me over the edge and made me simply go to another engine other small indie engines can achieve the same effect as this
without baking in fact many of them have dynamic day/night cycles where the shadows will move around with very little loss of fps. Also i feel reloaded
has slowed right down and focusing in all the wrong things.

Anyway i wish each and everyone of you all the best in what ever you do be it in life or in the land of game making

Tattie.

It's sad to see you go, as you're one of the forums' most active.

I understand where you're coming from, and performance to me is still a worry, considering I have Dual GPU's capable of playing games like GTA IV and Max Payne 3 in max settings at a similar or higher frame rate than reloaded on a sparsely populated map. I also worry that now Windows 10 is up to DirectX 12, and we are still working with DirectX 9, which is over a decade old.

However, because of the type of user I am, I never really expect to finish a project so Reloaded covers all the entertainment value I need for now, and I'm looking forward to see how well multiplayer runs.

All the best to you, and I hope you still 'dip in' to reloaded from time to time

Sad to see you leave, Tattie, but I understand as well. For the past 6 months, on and off, I've been switching between Reloaded and UE4. UE4 is simply amazing and quite affordable, in fact, I've kept my subscription running all this time even though I'm aware I can cancel at any time and re-enlist at any time for updates. I am and have never been around these parts to make a marketable game, but simply for my own interest in the subject as well as just to have fun! It's certainly nice to work in an engine that you know is not going to give you grief (outside the normal learning/"oops" moments, of course!) Reloaded will get there, of that I am confident, but some people simply don't have the time! Take care of yourself and stop in here once in a while at least to say hi!

And there you have the common misconception, DX9 was updated all the way since inception, differences between DX9b and DX9c is literally day and night. The libraries get updated with new code and

fixes you can't really call some thing 10 years old, that has had 3 different version.

With each one having different tech that it employs. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using dx9 crysis used dx9 and dx10, dx9 is still looking great there, farcry 2 , bioshock, legendary, borderlands, in fact the list goes on and on. Most of those games were made with UDK which have more development face time than fpsc classic, X10 and reloaded combined over its in entire product lifetime.

It annoys me that people get impatient, it annoys me the most when people announce their departure, go already you won't be missed long, if your not willing to waiting around and help create the next reloaded version...neither TGC or users can keep you here, thanks for the support and good riddance, because if I remember correctly you have been complaining since day one.

@Jerry Tremble

It's unfortunate and requires some tough love, Lee has generally been on the receiving end by this user on his blog, I can't recall if the user ever gave a good compliment or a word of encouragement, was met with mostly negative commen

It is incredibly easy to covert any 3D file format into .x though....

Even when I was completely new to modeling in general, the first thing I was able to achieve with any model I ever worked on, was bring it into x9. Its not difficult and its free. I don't understand what your problem is here? Quite a number of other engines require different 3D file formats. What do you have against the objects in the store? Is your issue that you can't export models you've been working on? Or are you using models you've downloaded from the net in OBJ format?
