The Escape doesn't have menu music as far as i can tell

If you mean the sound that plays at the start of the level that is just a marker (Sound Zone)

I know about sound zones, that work. But i can't get music to play in main menu.

I have not tried as I haven't played much with stand alone games as yet, but I imagine if you name your music file to the same name as the one included with the escape, and copy it over the escapes, it should play your tune. Just a matter of finding the files you need to change. A hack, but the only way at present, same as many features, especially when new.
