Hello everyone
I bought an item on the store and noticed that the texture can not be opened for editing?
I wish I also sell my items and encrypt the texture. How do I do that?
Forgive my English

The software I use? ... Autocad, sketchup, Spazio3D, pconplanner, Kerkythea, wings3d, paint.net.

Probably your image editor doesn't like dds files, rather than it being encoded.

Oh, actually, thinking about it. I think store objects are encrypted automatically now, so that is probably the issue. To prevent people grabbing stuff out of game demo's. Looking like it works! This should be automatic when you upload to the store, but best to ask a team member.

Media should only be encrypted if the Artist elects to make the item "Reloaded use only" at least that is how it should work.

If it is Reloaded only then I would expect this to be stated somewhere before purchase so buyers know it is non-modifiable.

You cannot encrypt your items yourself as far as I am aware, however the store will have an update that will encrypt every upload if an artist wishes, to ensure that assets are protected.

This will be in sometime early next year.

Items encrypted will indeed feature a message stating they are for use in reloaded only, you will not be able to encrypt existing items as purchasers of those items will have paid under the agreement they can use in any engine and the asset would not be encrypted.
