Is there a way to make rain before the begin work on the particle system???.
What I'm asking is whether i can make rain without a particle system?

I've looked at some ways, but nothing really worked well. I haven't spent too much time with it but with the right media, it could look quite effective. I'm not too sure Reloaded will like using particles for rain until it gets a bit more performance though.



SPECS: Q6600 CPU. Nvidia 660GTX. 8 Gig Memory. Win 7.

when they add sprites you could use those to make splashes on the screen and stuff maybe?

what about the shaders bond 1 had, they surely can cross over to reloaded?

In the current context I think the only viable option is to make a 2d object and then manually animate it
In effect, you'd have to make your own particle system.

There really isn't a particle system to speak of at least from a lua context in 0085. The only particle functions in the game I found only create a smoke trail (for RPG smoke). It's useful for making a dust cloud for players/cars/etc and smoke from a chimney. That's about it.
