Hi, is it possible to skip the main menu and jump directly to first level?

No, It requires loading like every other game, it is almost impossible to start a game without loading core files, this goes with all games. while it is possible to make the loading times as short as possible with map clean up and optimization

Nvm I read the post wrong, I will give it a check and see what I can come up with for you. As I don't make standalone games until they are in testing stage. give me a few minutes unless a more advanced person can tell you if they already know.

Hm, my purpose is to skip only main menu screen. The levels can load of cause. I want a customized main menu on an standalone exe which i created in C#. My own Menu displays an Animated 3D Environment, the FPSC Menu is to static for me. 2 Menus would be annoying for the players.

Hmm, after some checking It may be hardcoded in, deleting the Titlebank causes the game to not load on "preparing Core files" so it is my guess that it is now required. one of the more advanced scriptwriters on here might be able to make a script for you that bypasses title-bank and loads alternative. my LUA skills are not that good right now.

At the moment this is not possible as the menu creator system has not been added to the engine just yet.

In future releases you will see this functionality for sure, right now shakyshawn8151 is correct in saying the menu is hard coded into the standalone game.

if I'm correct in your request you want to load your standalone game and it bypass the main menu and go straight to loading the first level?? if this is correct it can be done by opening your 'setup.ini' file and changing the line 'IGNORETITLE = 0' to '=1' this will bypass the default menu screen.

There is a flag in V1.009 for SETUP.INI called "ignoretitlepage=1" which will instruct the standalone to skip the title menu and load level one directly. That's the power of community feedback

I hope there will be a way to change settings other than editing the SETUP.INI manually. That would be the power of GUI.



Is anyone else seeing this issue where the posts have shrunk in width?

I'm seeing the posts in shrunken width AND italics! LOL, I think RustyNuts' phone did something to this thread! It only does it after his last post, and he is apparently responsible for the italics. Just kidding, I'm not really blaming you, RustyNuts. Kinda coincidental, though.





EDIT: After I posted, the page Reloaded (lol) and now some of the posts above RustyNuts are shrunk, but to the right. Pretty sure they weren't like that beforehand. Weird.
