Populating interiors of buildings is a pain when you constantly select the set piece by mistake. I've been working with large scale scenery that is meant to be used purely as set pieces that add to the environment, and it is a nuisance when in the editor the cursor is constantly selecting this set piece. Having an option to "freeze" an entity and prevent it from being select-able, would be very ideal. A simple setting to check as "freeze entity" or even a keyboard shortcut would be great. A simple list for "View Frozen entitys" and unfreeze at will, and a "Unfreeze all" option.

A lot of developers are creating building entitys that are large and enter-able, it would be a nice feature to be able to freeze a building in the editor, so that the developer can easily populate the interior on the buildings.

Yes, we have improved entity selection a lot, and it is now much easier in the up coming beta (1.9). Hopefully that will help .
