so working on the prison map i been doing, and i have come to a bit of a problem..

how do i use 3d editor mode to place things above ground level please?, page up just makes the player camera higher not the entity, and the rotate options are only on 1 axis. so how would i put items on a ceiling for lights n such like that inside a building when i cant use the standard editor top down view please?.

does any1 have this secret knowledge i lack if so please share?

well that's no good.. I got 3 floors worth of lighting to add and however many prison cells and corridors to each floor, I need it to be in 3d mode really but that's like I said not working for me, there has to be someway to get lighting on ceilings that's not that.. if not there really should be lol..

thanks anyways m8.

In the next public build, you can lock an entity to prevent further detection, then zoom into the entity you are manipulating and use the Up movement to get it where you need it to be, and keeping the camera below the entity allows you to position it against the ceiling accurately. If time I will be adding a free-roaming camera in edit mode so this can be done without zooming into a specific entity.
