damn ... damn .... damn and damn again.

After drawing 60 segment, do a test in fpscr and I realize that you can not place items on top of each other .... can not believe it. The engine does not recognize the side walls and places the segment at ground level .... no comment. If you place an item on top of another and hit enter, it is placed at ground level. Damn

I fear it is too early to share the free segment pack

developers should also enter a function snap in height

The software I use? ... Autocad, sketchup, Spazio3D, pconplanner, Kerkythea, wing3d, paint.net.

It is possible to put segments on top of each other. The method is a bit rough, but it does work. I did a tutorial about it for my construction kit.

Thanks Gtox .... but it does not work.

The developer would have to also think about the snap in height.

Ahh !! I thought you may have overcame that problem

This is why I stopped my construction kit a few months back because of this issue....... BUT ITS NOT IMPOSSIBLE.......There are 2 ways

All these pics of my test kit are using.... "page up/down" ......in "F9 Mode" to place the upper floors but its fiddley..... EXCEPT THE LAST ONE ON THE END..... This segment I created at that height so basically its always that high.....
But it seemed I would have to make for example.. ( Floor corner bottom......then....floor corner second level...then......floor corner third level.... )

It would have been duplicating so many segments at different heights I figured it would be to confusing so I scrapped the idea...
I thought maybe you had found another way around it

So.... if you duplicated every segment in your model program at a second level and third level Height for instance ... it will work flawlessly... but that's 3 lots of 60 segments ..

Oh. I thought maybe it was "on top of each other".

If my post seems rude or stupid, don't be offended. It's just a failed attempt at humor.

So...

How about that pack, huh?
What size are the room segments? I'm guessing that when we can do this we won't be limited to 8x8 which was always too small/low for realistic buildings. I also started to do this, but never got as far as the stacking issue. I had a problem when placing them on the ground, even on super flat terrain, they would distort the ground around them.

I was so excited with the room blobs. Oh well.

@xplosys : The size of the segments is 2540x2540 , height 2710 mm
The base must be in multiples of inches, I chose to do 100x100 inches. with this segment pack you can create an entire city with buildings of any size

forgive my english
