Anybody watch? If so what was your favorite part?

I enjoyed the new game reveals. However, I couldn't get into watching the multi-player game play. The SKYPing was cool for those who participated but most of the interaction was for their own individual benefit.

So, what about the GTX 970/980 with the second-generation Maxwell microarchitecture. Now there are monitors with G-SYNC capability built in order to match the variable synchronizations of a game. Gaming for the PC seems to be exploding.

Nice to see you made it to the reloaded camp, Terry! I have no idea what you are talking about otherwise though

Thanks Wolf. My time is at a premium now-a-days. However, I wanted to watch the live even sponsored by nvidia and check in the forums if anybody else watched. Reloaded is an exciting piece of development software. Woo-Hoo. Looking forward to seeing the official version. I still have played with the alpha and beta versions as far as creating I've played the examples however, including the last one.

GAME24 was an unprecedented 24-hour PC gaming event. It's over no but you can still go to the web page. There is still some interesting stories available plus the fact that they will have put up some videos of the event later. Here's the web page URL: http://game24.nvidia.com/event

I probably won't be getting the gtx980 ($700 range) but it is an amazing piece of engineering to just look at and drool over.

I must be one of the few that watched it. Though after the initial keynote I mostly just watched the case modding stream (Mod24).

The lighting, liquids and turf effect demos blew my mind!

IMO, the GTX980 really isn't worth it. the 256 memory BUS is kind of a handicap at 4K resolutions. I'm sure though if they do an 8GB 980ti or something it will be amazing.

For most gamers, the GTX970 will be the one to get. It's MSRP of $320 ($230 USD less than the 980) and the fact that it can directly compete with much more expensive cards (980, 780ti, Titan, R290X etc) at 1080p make it an amazing value. I just got mine a couple days ago and so far it's been amazing.
