The next beta will be released when it is ready, no eta at the moment.

There are a lot of changes coming to the next version so it is taking time.

well just been looking at my products 1.08 was released in july on the 20th and the hot fix for 1.085 the 13th of august.

been 2 months now and nothing for 1.09 which is a little unusual to say the least, I do hope 1.09 is by far an improvement on 1.8/85 across the board as we have been waiting quite abit longer than normal, and as its not even in alpha testing state yet will we see it b4 October as that's not far off either?!.

I currently don't have any real plans with the engine and am happy to wait, just curious as to when its going to be shipped out?, lee made mention of rapping up a build and such b4 he went to usa the other week on his blog I think, hows that shaping up I wonder?.

I'm assuming the next beta will be a big change rather than small fixes which is why it's taking time. You wouldn't want it sent out full of major bugs would you?

well 2 months is abit longer than normal lol, from 1.08 to now anyways, handful of weeks time it be 1 year to the day of official 1st beta.
yeah I know right a year already huh almost anyways!!
got to remember that 1.85 was a hotfix for the competition and 1.08 not a proper beta release also..
but yeah hopefully its a well worth the wait.

The next beta is huge I can say that much... there is a lot that is still internal at the moment and will be announced in good time but the team are working on the following plus loads more...

- Multicore support for major engine areas
- New shadows
- New shading
- New engine assets, textures
- Improvements to performance - lots, myself and Scene Commander fight for this
- Construction kit (not 100% sure this is V1.009, you will get to see it soon though - looking very nice!)
- Multiplayer (not 100% sure this is V1.009, but it is coming along well)

Plus loads of other bits I haven't kept an eye on. All in all the team is full out for the biggest release yet!

Don't count the 1.085 hotfix as a version, it was released to fix big issues and the time in between that and V1.008 is not representative of how often you will get updates.

exactly the next m8, but on the my products page of tgc website
1.08 released on or around 20th july its now September almost October no 1.09 that is abit longer than most other releases.
normally a monthish not 2 months plus whatever weeks.

like I have said though im in no rush for 1.09

3com if this is an issue bring it to our attention (via support) and we can put up another download source, we have a new very powerful server that runs the store and FPSCR sites that does not do any of the downloads at the moment.

So if we hear about issues with downloads we can push the downloads to that server as well.

The current two download servers are in the US so that may be part of your issue, the new one is hosted in the UK so is better for European users.
