I would like to have Lua commands which can turn on/off:

terrain / water / gun / decal / physics / ... rendering

I give the rationale for this request in http://fpscrforum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=209765&b=1. Briefly, turning terrain rendering off gives me a 400% FPS increase.

I think it is a trivially-easy--to-implement feature and can come up very useful for totally indoor maps.

@AuShadow

I stand corrected and thanks very much! I see (now) the commands for terrain and water. But ... how about physics (I guess you can turn this on / off for individual entities?) decals, gun etc.

Yes physics can be turned off by making the item static or in lua by using gravityoff(e) command

Not quite true. There is a bug still unresolved here. Even if you turn gravity off in script, if physics are on in the entity properties, then it will still fall to the ground as if it had gravity. Only if you turn physics off in the properties will you get physics and gravity truly off. But then your entity can no longer collide with anything. So, it makes so many possibilities impossible currently.
