I'd like to start up an FPSCR irc channel and was hoping others would join in. If you go to the following link and use #fpscr then we'll all be in the same chat room. I tried getting others to try this by posting a response in the wesbite/forums feedback area, but no on ever saw it. So, let's see if we can get a regular chat going. I'm sure it would be very useful for people to exchange ideas, ask questions, and get help.

I'll log in and hang out there as much as possible to see if we can get a group to join in.

This chat seems to work well. I had a nice little chat with Wolf yesterday. I'm in chat again today if anyone else wants to join in and give it a try. It sure beats waiting for forum replies.

Had another chat today with WizardOfId. And just saw The Next pop in but vanish suddenly before chatting. Come on guys, let's get this chat thing going. There's so much to talk about.

Well, still trying to get more people to give this a try. I'll keep logging in throughout the week to see if anyone else wants to chat.

Thanks for the chat. Hopefully when more people are actually using FPSCR, the chatter will pick up and be useful for quick answers. I don't think there is enough traffic on this board to really get it moving.

How about scheduling a specific topic/chat so people know about it?

Scheduled chats would be a good idea, but with time zone differences it might be tricky.

True, but not impossible. I think this would work best during a sunday or perhaps midweek?

How about just a date.
e.g. Join us this Sunday, August 31st for an all day "Welcome" chat session. Come by and say hello or join in on the topic:
FPSCR... What it is, what it will be, and your plans for creating with it.

This is turning out to be quite nice. I've seen a few visitors to the chat over the past week and we even had 4 at the same time once. If you do decide to drop in though, be sure to leave it open and connected for a long while before just giving up. If no one is there then they might show up if you remain connected long enough. If everyone just quits when they see no one there then you can never get a chat going.

Maybe we could do a TGC chat next week. We usually eat up over an hour during our team conference calls each day, so why not redirect some of that energy to a little knowledge transfer If you are interested, email rick@thegamecreators.com with your reasons why it's more important than our 4PM team call. Votes will count, Rick is not easily persuaded! You have been warned.

I think an integrated chat into the forums would be even better how many votes can we get for that
