Hello, I recently built my own desktop computer running Windows 8.1 64 bit. Today I downloaded and installed FPSC Reloaded to find that the map editor does not load (see the screenshot for reference). It seems to work fine on my Windows 7 laptop, however not on my Windows 8 desktop. I have tried disabling UAC and running FPSC with administrator privileges, but to no avail. Any help on this is appreciated, thanks.

Might be a stupid question but have you set the run in compatibility mode for windows 7. I have windows 8.1 and FPSCR works fine on my laptop.

I did find that FPSCR does not like some some other software, particularly some Anti Viruses. I had to go through my running programs 1 at a time to find out what it was that was interfering.

Go off the internet and turn your Antivirus off and try running the program. I have also noticed that it does not like Photoshop.

Good luck

I've got something to say - It's better to burn out than fade away.

@Gold Falcon : If you could try again and then send me the FPSC-MapEditor.log file to lee@thegamecreators.com so I can see how far the IDE got before freezing. Thanks!

@TazMan Thanks for the advice mate, and yes I have indeed tried running the program in compatibility mode. It seems that the very first release of FPSC Reloaded (1.007?) works however when you edit the terrain or move it glitches a lot.
