Hi All

I seem to have been involved on the outskirts of FPSC for years being one of the original EAs. Hey that is years!

Anyway I have been making 3d models for a number of years mainly for the Train Sim etc community and for use in educational programs mainly for Edutech Systems. There's a lot of my work on UKtrainsim.com.

But with the exciting continuation of FPSC Reloaded and its potential to launch a shed load of Indy Game Makers I thought I'd have a go at making some models for that market. With that in mind I have started to put together a large project aimed at the game developer using a World War II scenario. I have just spent two years in France and amassed a very large collection of photographs for textures. My idea is to make everything for the game designer to create a typical French village or even a small town with houses, cafes, shops, specialist buildings such as the Marie (possibly used by the occupying forces as their HQ), street furniture, period vehicles etc. A good battle scene is always the railyard so I will be making available the necessary components for that so you the game designer may create unique zones (wagons, buildings, track, clutter etc).

I will make many of these in 'pristine' and 'war damaged' condition to allow the game designer the option to create 'before and after' scene(s). Buildings will also come as 'static' for creating street, back garden, alley way battle scenes and 'interactive' for in house fighting etc. Models will be designed to allow the game creator as much 'suprise' and 'unexpected' latitude as possible (difficult corners, traps etc).

I have a number of other ideas which will become available as the project develops. I expect to put up the first batch of models in late August and have set a timeline of two months to complete the majority of the rest. All will be available through the shop on this site and further details can be found on www.3dshed.co (that is co and not com .

Sounds great. I will enjoy blowing up a French Village. That is, as long as the town leader doesn't surrender before I get the chance.

Just kidding. This sounds like it will be a lot of great gaming assets. Can't wait to see a screenshot. http://www.3dshed.co/fpscfrench1.html Really, I couldn't wait.

Haven't uploaded before to this board but here goes. Hopefully a couple of shots of a shelled small French house. I have about two dozen finished items now including a small house with a Luftwaffe 109 inside (in bits of course).

Been asked about commercial use of my models. Simple answer is if I give any models for free they are in the Public Domain as far as I am concerned so do with it as you wish. Well within reason .

If I sell models then they are available by the purchaser for commercial use in his/her game. Not much use selling models to Indie developers like I just know many of you using FPSC Reloaded will become if you cannot use then in your 'for sale' games. Name in the credits would be great but not necessary.

So that's the way it is from the date of this post regarding any of my models. Hope that suits everyone

Best of luck to all in your game developments

Completed a cobbled street with straights, dead end, T and X junctions.

Also put a crashed plane in one of the shelled out houses.
