Is there any way to join the elite club of Alpha Testers? I have a lot of free time on my hands and would be more than willing to test builds that the internal alpha testers test. Just offering really... if you need someone else to test I'll happily volunteer!

Alpha testing is via invite only and is usually restricted to longer term members and those with certain skills which are useful to the alpha test process. Currently we have enough testers and I don't see that changing for awhile, but if we do need more, we'll contact the users we feel can best suit the testing requirements at the time.

Thanks Scene Commander for spelling that out... I will stay hopeful for the future! Obviously I can't contribute much in terms of technical expertise but as a basic user I'd be more than willing to help you out...

We have a fair number of alpha testers now, and as stated we are pretty well equipped right now. I will however keep my eye on the contributions and if I get enough silence from an absent tester, I might implement a policy of swapping them with a new member who can provide regular feedback on each build we put out there. Your case is strengthened if you have a bug no-one else can reproduce, especially if that includes members of the dev team
