it would be interesting to know the outputs of the upcoming release, using a countdown. For example, "the next release will be released in 15 days 10 hours and 10 minutes," This would also apply to new objects, characters or weapons.
What do you think?

The software I use? ... Autocad, sketchup, Spazio3D, pconplanner, Kerkythea, wing3d, paint.net.

Sometimes problems get noticed half way in... and they have to go back and fix a couple things before a release. So I'm not sure an absolute deadline to the minute would work.

For the reasons Teabone suggested this won't work, there is no way to tell exactly when the release will be ready it is all based on how many bugs the testing team finds. Builds have been held back for days before if required.

haha... I'd love a countdown until next release.. but from the developers point of view it's not really feasible because sometimes issues are brought to light which need fixing and that delays release time.

We just need to learn to be more patient! It's exciting though.... each new release has me gasping for more! TGC do a fine job and from my point of view are doing very well so far...

Nothing is impossible, and we could implement a countdown and guaranteed release but it means slightly smaller updates as we dedicate more time to pre-testing before the deadline of each release. If enough users want to see this, I am sure we can come up with something that meets your needs. Right now we are staging releases based on our march to a Steam version, adding features and tweaks to the core to get the product to where it needs to be.

PC SPECS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Intel Core i7 920 (PASSMARK:5008), NVIDIA Geforce 9600 GT GPU (PASSMARK:752) , 6GB RAM
