Hello James 1943. There is a water plane in fpsc-reloaded all ready. Its height is not adjustable, so you need to sculpt the terrain down to it. When you go into the matric <tab><tab> in test mode, you can adjust the reflectiveness of the water.

As far as water for a pond on a level not equal to the water plane, then there is this:
http://fpscrforum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=208644&b=25

This is a shader effect that is a texture atlas or walking texture on an object.
This work very well and can change direction by changing the values in the shader.

This is what we have for water at the moment.

Illumination is very tricky as it has not been included in the current betas, has been tried a few different ways with what we have, but no real solution. You could search the forum for the couple of techniques tried.

But I did notice in the demo game released that the illuminationent.fx file was in the folder structure. So I am guessing and hoping that it is in the next beta release, so we can use it.

This is where the rest of us are at the moment with these two items.

Good luck and welcome.

That is wonderful! Glad to have you here, and welcome! I have always believed it's never too late to learn something new. It may not be very effective with dogs, but people are different, I think. At least they look different. To me, anyway.

I am going to share this thread with my parents with a big "I told you so!" LOL

Again, welcome aboard!
