I notice that if I move about in entity mode it's really quite a jerky or laggy movement with WASD.
As soon as I put it in terrain mode its really smooth. Is it meant to behave this way? I can't personally see the advantage of a jumpy movement in entity mode since we have the B key for placing to a grid.

Or is this a bug on my part, and no-one else gets the same. It seems a little odd to me, anyway!

Regards,
S

Oh must just be mine then, probably too many entities... haha

In terrain mode its fluid, whereas in entity move it really isn't. Oh well.

On the plus side I've just re-ran my level and its gained 10fps everywhere... without me changing anything. I'm not complaining, but I wonder why...haha

Hood, do you use screen capture software? Because I'm trying to video my screen and they are TERRIBLE, I've tried cam studio, but you cant see the result through the grain and the lag it creates!

If you have LOTS of entities being rendered in the map view it can slow things down, best to zoom in when editing to limit what is drawn on screen.

Cheers I think that must be the cause, funny how its still drawing the entires in terrain mode but has 3x the fps in the editor though? (If terrain or waypoint mode is selected)

Custom Mac Pro (2014): OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and Windows 8.1 Pro: Octa-threaded Xeon E5 v2 @ 3.7Ghz [9775]; Dual AMD FirePro D500 (3GB VRAM Each) [3769]; 12GB RAM [2517]; 512GB SSD [9074];

At the detected score [passmark 9074], my SSD is ranked 3rd of all SSD's in the charts
