So, as in this line,

if PlayerDist < 80 and g_KeyPressE == 1 then

Ive tried to reassign the letter and nothing works. Is there any reason for this?

at this moment in time there is only 'g_KeyPressE' declared in the global.lua file, which I assume means the engine is setup to only recognise this key press. I tried adding another variable in the global script file but with no luck.

Well, crap! I cant put a weapon in one of the boxes from the store then.

I was going to place a weapon ina box, require the E to open the box and a different letter to pick it up.

why not just set a delay and/or a switch so that both wont happen at the same time?

smallg is right. You can just modify the script and once the box is open then you transition to another state where pressing E is used to pick up the item.

lol, if I was that smart, I might have thought of that. Im like a box of rocks when it comes to scripting. Ill look and see if I might be able to figure that out.

Yeah, I am waiting for more key presses too.
I was hoping to see them in beta7, but I will have to work around it for now as well.
I have a few ideas for reloaded, but they require more than one key for input.

Wait no longer. I've released my Omega Core plugin that gives you additional key input as well as mouse button input. You can use for testing purposes only until July 21st and then are free to use it in other ways after that.

Thanks
I will give it a try.
Just read the input part of the documentation and the ocGetKey("x") looks pretty straight forward.
This will be very handy.
Thanks again!

You are welcome. And as soon as I de-stress from working on my final comp entry, I'll be forging ahead with a really powerful GUI system. Multiplayer should be in prototyping as well. Lots of goodies coming soon.
