You mean face the player? If so, I am going to be working on a script to make entities face the player, but it may not be necessary if the 1.071 hotfix fixes the RotateToPlayer function. However, if you are interested, there is a little trick you can do that can accomplish face to player part of the time. If you set ischaracter = 1 in the spider fpe file and then give it the ai_neutral.lua script, it will turn to face the player when close by. I found out this little trick on accident while experimenting. Also, setting it to ischaracter=1 allows you to kill it when you shoot it. Another neat little side effect I discovered.

Try setting the fpe file to rotate it 180 degrees in the Y coordinate. Not sure if that will work, but it should.

And don't forget to delete the .bin and .dbo files and restart the engine after making changes to the fpe. Otherwise it won't take effect.

I believe you can still use "fixnewy =" I had a character that refused to face me used this and it worked so it may work for you play around with it 90 - 120 - 180

I think you're right. I forgot about that one as I always just use the rotY or whatever it's called. But maybe the rotY one only changes the heading, but doesn't really change what the engine considers it to be its forward facing position. I assumed it did. My bad.

I used fixnewy = 180 and now spider turns to face player . I also placed ai_charge in Main and now spider will follow player around , with no animation . The spider is from Rolfy ,don't remember if it was a purchase or a free-b . At lest I can get objects to follow player around or just to face him .
