I've got Win7 64bits. When I start FPS, all the menu items appear, but the main screen stays black. I don't get errors, I can load sample files. But no matter what I do, the main screen remains black.

I've uninstalled, deleted the folder. No result. I've had the same issue with the previous versions.

Any help appreciated.

When I have had trouble like that, I have gone through the items that are running such as antivirus, teamviewer etc and close each down in turn then run FPSCR afterwards to see if it has any effect.

I have so far found the culprit when I do this. I suggest you do the same, you will probably find which software is interfering with FPSCR on your machine.

Regards

I've got something to say

@Wobbelwap : Can you do a short video of the black screen issue from first launching Reloaded from the desktop? When you get there, try using the mouse wheel to scroll up and down as there is a remaining issue about black screen and needing to do this on

Thank you for your reply. After reading some other questions, I wonder if my video card is good enough. It's a Nvidia Geforce GT 230 with 1.5 MB memory. Besides that, I have Windows 7 Home Premium. Core i7 860 with 6GB.

1.5 MB video memory is not very much at all. Perhaps you mean 1.5GB We have fixed a black screen issue with the latest HOT FIX build so that might solve it for you.

Yes, it was 1.5 GB Installed the new version, but still no luck. By the way, I had to uninstall first this time. If I ran the built in uninstaller, then the new program wouldn't be installed. But you've probably noticed that already.

Are you using the latest version installer? V1.0071. The older installer had the 'fail to continue' problem, but the latest installer fixes it...

Hello.

I just joined beta.

I have exactly the same problem when I run the editor in 1920x1080 resolution.
Editing area and the game in full screen are black.

I have to lower the resolution to 1600x900, and then the editor and testruns are working.

I expect you've done this but have you set both the Map-Editor.exe and the FPSCreator.exe to run as admin?
Also when FPSC is running check TaskManager to see both those processes are running.

Yes I have.
And there's two processes.

But still 1920x1080 Windows resolution does not work in editor or testrun.

Should it work ?

I only have 1440 x 900 atm, I defiantely had an earlier version of reloaded working on 1080 though, can't be much help I'm afraid as I don't have a decent monitor until I go home again :/

My own aging monitor does not allow me 1920x1080 Can anyone else set their desktop to 1920x1080 and then run Reloaded to let me know what happens, cheers!

My monitor is always set to 1920x1080. Zero issues. Win7 x64.

On a side note (talking about resolutions) can you not set your monitor resolution in the setup.ini? I tried that as soon as I got reloaded, I don't think it made any difference really, but, it might help with this case?

Cheers

Jay.

Thanks for checking.

I changed the resolution in setup.ini but the editor and testruns are still black.

The stand alone program does stay in taskbar and don't even open window/fullscreen,

DBP editor and compiled programs are working in any resolution.
And Reloaded also works in lower resolutions than 1920x1080.

Great experience otherwise.

I use 1920x1080 all the time, I've run it higher on occasion, just to see how it runs. I do get a black screen when Reloaded crashes on occasion, strangely when adding in objects normally. Add in a new item (normally an old legacy one), and bang black screen. Not seen it in awhile now but I have had odd errors when right clicking a new object to clear it (with a missing file error), and again only with older models. Any object that seems to have the old system of an arrow to show you direction it faces normally does this, wall objects and the like.

Yeah I've noticed entities with the arrow give it a fit, I took this type of entity out the packs I converted of Cosmic's for that reason.
