anyone had any issues with windows DEP control?

i cant open reloaded anymore for no apparent reason...

nothing changed since it was working perfectly fine last night but today it just gets stuck in an endless loop of;

checking files -> DEP closing it -> autorestarting reloaded -> repeat

i have full admin rights

i have tried turning DEP on (and i have tried turning it off again after a restart)

i have tried reinstalling reloaded

i have tried some cmdline code i found via a search to try disable DEP

i dont know what else i can try so any help would be great

I did have a few problems opening mine since last night...I disabled my Avast and all works fine again.....Im thinking an Avast update was screwing it up so just try disabling whatever you use...

You may not use avast but sometimes the latest patterns look for the same things ?

ok it seems it's an issue with Avast - if i disable avast it works fine again, must have been an update last night (having it running in silent mode so didn't notice)... hopefully this will get corrected in future but for now at least i know how to use reloaded again

edit haha nice timing.

Rather than disabling your AV outright it would be better to add an exception. I'm not sure how to do this in Avast but a quick Google search should bring up some relevant information.

I only had to do that day till the next avast update ( which is pretty constant ) and its been fine since

Hi All,

Avast is known to cause issues with Reloaded and has done so since the beginning. We do not know why currently, but each Avast update seems to cause additional problems.

Just updated my avast, no problems, however added exclusions, so shouldn't pose a problem again

yh it was only an issue for me for that 1 day and then it worked fine again (avast updated again i guess) - never had an issue before so didn't even consider it originally but if it does happen again i shall set it as an exception, the disable thing was just a test to make sure it really was that, plus you can disable with 1 click while adding an exception takes a bit longer - lazyness is great :p
